Jenny had her OB follow-up visit and passed her exam with flying colors. Dr. Dwight gave her the green light to do anything she can, including swim! That has yet to happen.

Today we paid a visit to an incredible woman, Corky Harvey--founder and president of The Pump Center, a breastfeeding store--and with a little bit of guidance, both babies were nursing simultaneously, and successfully. It's really wonderful to have mentors--even if you have to pay for them--in the whole area of breastfeeding. I can't help feeling like the women of my parents' generation weren't very well helped to understand this ancient human art. It's a lot trickier than it looks!
We were also encouraged that--contrary to how things had appeared--in the past 8 days Lucy's gained 9 ounces, and Tyler 12 ounces! We have another follow-up visit to Dr. Nakashima--our children's pediatrician--on Friday.
Lastly, we had our first lunch out as a family! Driving back from The Pump Station, we were hungry & figured we'd go for it. We ate in Westwood, at Falaffel King, and maybe it's because I've been cooped up for two weeks, but it tasted incredible! I'm not sure what Lucy and Tyler think of fallafel, but we'll make sure to take them back there in a few years. Every time we leave the house, it feels like an adventure, but it's been great to not be intimidated by the new challenges, but to meet them head on!
